I'm envious of this little work "nook," formerly a closet. Shelving above the desk allows enough head room so as not to feel cramped, yet provides ample storage. A small file cabinet is tucked into the nook under the desk. Artwork leaning against the wall gives the homeowner something nice to look at while working. And when you want to forget about work, just release the curtain.
And let's talk about that curtain! Rich velvet in a soft slate blue coordinates with the wall color. The curtain rod and rings are hidden by a cleverly mounted architectural element. A tie back keeps the curtain out of the way while the desk is in use. Designer: Kimberlee Jaynes
