Ode to the Slipper Chair

I'm a big fan of the little slipper chair.  It is the perfect chair for any decorating need;  to perch on in a dressing room, for additional seating in a living room, to add a bit of pattern in the corner of a bedroom, or to furnish a small studio.

Layla Grace:  Aidan, $690                     Pier1:  Addyson, $349

Ballard Designs: Leyland, $623                  West Elm:  Upholstered, $299

Target:  Sudan, $299                Walmart:  Avenue Six, $299

Do you have a slipper chair?  Where is it?

  1. I just found a slipper chair on the side of the road that I am having recovered as we speak!

I am so excited! Hopefully, it will look as good as any of these!

  3. Hi Erica,
What beautiful pics you found! I LOVE slipper chairs too. I would have them all over the house, but when you live with all "males", they don't get it. "where's the arms?" is what you hear.
When I find another one, it's going in the foyer. Nobody can complain about one in there. LOL. You know...there is one in my soon-to-be-gone-shop, with a white slip on it. I think I'll go get it!

Thank you for stopping by my blog yesterday. You're always full of great support, info, and pricing.

    I should rectify that immediately.

  7. I don't have one anymore!
I had one in my room during high school. My aunt had recovered it in soft leopard print fabric and gave it to me; I thought it was the raddest thing ever. I sat in it and talked on the phone, read magazines, listened to the radio, made mix tapes... etc. etc. :)

  8. Sam, that's too funny, I would totally do all of that stuff in a slipper chair if I had one...maybe just make mix cd's instead.

  10. i don't have, but i want! you're right, they go anywhere--and i think that's why i love them so much. they're flexible, changeable, moveable. for when i change my mind. which is always.
