To Sit or to Sleep?

I've always lusted after master bedrooms with cozy sitting areas.  I think if I had a bedroom like the one below, I'd probably end up putting a fridge in it and never leaving...  What about you?  Do any of you have master bedrooms with a sitting area?  And how often do you use the space?

  1. I love bedrooms with sitting areas. I always say that a bedroom should have at least one chair for a place to sit when you need to, and Jan Showers is one of my favorite designers

  2. Hi Erica,
This is a gorgeous room. Our master bedroom has a sitting area. It took us years to finally put a tv in it. (we aren't "watch tv in bed" kind of people) I never sit in the chairs, but my husband sits in there and watches football and golf all the time. It's his "getaway" So it does get used a lot.

  3. Oh, I would love to have a bedroom big enough for seating. I'd hang out, read, sip tea, watch tv, give myself a pedicure...Luxury!

  6. I love bedrooms with sitting rooms, and I have always wanted one! I have always dreamed of having a chaise lounge chair in my bedroom one day to curl up with my favorite magazines and books. Unfortunately our bedroom is a little tiny right now...but maybe one day!

  7. I don't have a sitting area in my bedroom and if I did put a sofa in there I would have to turn side-on and squeeze across to the other side of the room. As it is, I prop myself up on the bed when I take time out to read.

  8. Good to hear that those of you who have sitting spaces in the master bedroom like and use them... and to those that don't have one like me, we can continue to gawk at beautiful pics. :)
