Blast of Winter White

My inspiration for this winter white post?  The 15-20 inches on snow on top of and surrounding my car.  To those of you not getting blasted by this blizzard, here are some lovely white interiors for you to peruse.  For those of you with me on the East Coast, here's a little more for ya!

I'm a Dreamer

Have you seen the 2011 HGTV Dream Home yet?  I have, and I've already picked the Guest Bedroom as my favorite space in the entire home.  A perfect mix of chic and cozy, the bedroom has a color combination of cool grey and warm caramel tones.

Serene & Chic

The interiors of designer Jennifer Worts are quiet, serene, detailed, and chic.  They have a soft color palette with touches of black accents, such as mirrors, framed art, and sculptures.

The lines of the furniture are what draw me in...they are straight and bold, curvy and soft, and grab your attention. 

She mixes patterns and solids with ease, and adds texture with throw blankets and baskets. 

Subtle touches of color are added with vases and small accessories.

And the lighting, it is spectacular.  She chooses exquisite table lamps and fixtures that speak for themselves.

Feminine Friday: Bachelorette Pad

This great space designed by Vanessa De Vargas captured me immediately.  I love the tufted slipper chair, the tuxedo style sofa, and the touches of glam with the mirrors and accents.  It is also a great example of how feminine does not always have to be pink or purple and floral...

As I write this, I am packing and plan on moving into this space ASAP!  Isn't it perfect???

I couldn't resist doing a post on this adorable boys' room with a cowboy and Toy Story theme.  It's an adorable and stylish kid's room and I love the use of blue and orange together.

What I like about this space is the use of natural fibers, textures, and prints.  The space has a definite masculine feel, but with a fun twist.  Just look at the rug!  And I especially love the use of the black bed and rug to anchor the space amidst all of the bright colors.
